In the first case, G.R. Clarke, for his year's service, he would, under an ordinary practice, yet a gratuity of one month's salary. He has only been given one month's salary, which is, however, in accordance with the letter of the old Hong Kong Pension minute, which is not so liberal.
The Governor has been told to amend this in the new minute, 13762/82, which is, however, not yet issued.
We need not interfere in the man's favour.
